It can be very difficult in this crazy world we live in to maintain a healthy lifestyle, both in the physical realm and the spiritual realm. We are bombarded 24/7 with data promoting a very unhealthy lifestyle. Just watch a few food commercials. They can make something that is actually harmful for your body look like a good thing. One example is milk. One would think from listening to some of the commercials and advise from others, that we as a nation are depriving ourselves of a wonderful health food when we don't drink enough milk. Milk actually does NOT do a body good. We all know that commercially prepared milk is pasteurized. Pasteurizing heats the milk to extreme temperatures. How could any nutrients survive being boiled? Pasteurizing destroys any nutrients that may have been there to start with. Unfortunately, because most cows are fed antibiotics and hormones, you wouldn't want to drink it either way. There are some providers of organic raw milk which is a much better alternative. Check with your local farmers markets who can provide you with information about raw milk suppliers. Many people have been led to believe that soy milk is a good option, but it is not. Nearly all of the non-organic soybeans are actually genetically modified and contain a large amount of herbicides. A better alternative is organic rice milk or almond milk. It taste a lot like milk. For more information on the good and bad of fruits and vegetables, here is a good website:

Many people have toxic levels of metals in their system and don't even realize it. It's so easy to absorb metals and chemicals, and because most medical doctors have no clue, people suffer with symptoms that never seem to go away. We can absorb metals and chemicals from the foods we eat, from air pollution, from plastics, and the list goes on and on. One of the most common sources of metal poisoning, in particular mercury poisoning, is in dental work. Those silver-colored fillings in your mouth contain toxic levels of mercury. I have seen a lot of people with health issues that were linked to the teeth. I advise people to get the metal out of their mouth as soon as possible. Mercury fillings should not be removed except by a properly trained dentist. If removed improperly, a person can become very sick. NRT can determine if you have any metal poisoning in your system.  If you are interested in having the metal in your mouth removed, I recommend Dr. Michaela McKenzie at She does it safely.

Of course, it is no secret that we are inundated with chemicals everywhere we turn. It's hard to avoid it, but you can make a concerted effort to rid chemicals from your system. One of the most common chemicals is chlorine. Chlorine is toxic and we absorb it through our drinking water, showers, swimming pools, etc. Nutrition Response Testing is a good way to determine if you have absorbed any kind of chemicals. For more information about Nutrition Response Testing, please visit the NRT page. I would be happy to help you rid your body of chemicals. It can be done safely and effectively.

Many people have food sensitivities. Personally, I am gluten intolerant. I've had to make some major changes to my eating habits so I can avoid gluten. Fortunately there are many good options nowadays for those of us with this problem. I am a big fan of the blood-type diet. Each blood type has specific foods that can be beneficial or harmful. Try it for 30 days and see if you feel better. For more information about the blood-type diet see: Here's a good website for a listing of foods for each type: Each blood type also has certain personality characteristics which I always find interesting. I can oftentimes tell a person's blood type by their personality. NRT is a good way to determine sensitivities to various foods. Sensitivities to foods can prevent you from losing weight.

I found it extremely interesting to discover that scars can cause a variety of symptoms. I have seen people (and pets) helped with symptoms simply by addressing their scars. Nutrition Response Testing is a great way to determine if scars are having a detrimental effect on your body. It can easily be corrected with wheat germ oil or sesame oil. Also, another effective way to handle scars is with a cold laser. The cold laser calms the negative effects of the scar. Cold lasers are also good for injuries and even wrinkles. I offer cold laser therapy in my office.

Most people have heard by now that what you eat can have an effect on your physical health. Scientists have long estimated that a large percentage of our cancer risk is related to our lifestyle choices. The international report on cancer prevention from the American Institute for Cancer Research, Food, Nutrition and the Prevention of Cancer: a global perspective, found that 30% to 40% of all cancers are directly linked to the foods we eat, the exercise we get and how well we watch our weight. What you eat each day can have a big impact on your cancer risk. Most Americans eat a diet that is far too high in fat and calories and not enough fruits and vegetables.

The bottom line as far as our nutrition goes, is that we can make a major impact on our cancer risk with the choices we make everyday. But, there is a more important bottom line, and that's the health of our spirit. Our spirit is the most important part of our being. When our spirit is wounded or "unhealthy," it will affect the other parts of our being. When any area is out of balance, the other parts suffer. We've heard it said that "You are what you eat." Well, you are what "eats you" also. Hosea 4:6 says we perish for lack of knowledge. That can mean we perish in our bodies because we don't know how to develop a healthy spirit or a healthy body.

If 30% to 40% of our cancer risk is linked to our eating habits, that leaves 60 to 70% linked to other factors. Some of it is environmental but I believe a large percentage is emotionally rooted.

Proverbs 18:20-21 says "A person's belly will be filled with the fruit of his mouth; with what his lips produce he will be filled. The tongue has power over life and death; those who indulge it must eat its fruit." Galatians 6:7-8 says "Don't delude yourselves; no one makes a fool of God! A person reaps what he sows. Those who keep sowing in the field of their old nature, in order to meet its demands, will eventually reap ruin; but those who keep sowing in the field of the Spirit will reap from the Spirit everlasting life."

If our tongue has power over life and death, what does that mean in our everyday lives? It means that the words we speak can bring life or they can bring death. It's our choice. Disease can bring death so we have to search our hearts to see if we have any bitterness in us. Do I routinely speak forth bitter words or kind words? Ephesians 4:31-32 says "Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, violent assertiveness and slander, along with all spitefulness. Instead be kind to each other, tenderhearted; and forgive each other, just as in the Messiah God has also forgiven you." Kind words bring life, angry words bring death. The angry or bitter words will go forth into the spirit realm and produce a harvest somewhere in our life, very possibly in the form of a disease. As we continue in a lifestyle of speaking the wrong words, our body begins to sort of "absorb" those words into our spirits. Unless these words are repented of, they take root somewhere in us and begin to "eat at us like a cancer." Just as bitter words reap a bad harvest, i.e., disease, kind words will reap a good harvest, i.e., good health. Find out how Emotion Code testing can help.  EMOTION CODE

Beloved, I pray that in all things you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.
